A dedicated phase computer (3) is allocated to each column or, instead, to each row, which phase computer (3) calculates, in a serial manner, the deflection phase values of the phase-shifting elements (5) of a column (1) or, instead, a row, on the basis of the specified values from a central control computer (4). The invention enables quick and effective beam swivelling, and universal applicability of the antenna in the most varied operational cases is ensured.
