A product suitable for landfill disposal from coal-fired power station residues by mixing of dry residues with residues from wet purification is prepared by mixing calcium oxide-containing fly ash in 2 stages with a gypsum suspension in such a way that largely quenching takes place in the 1st stage and a product for maximum compaction and suitable for landfill disposal is produced in the 2nd stage.
