Water intake grille cleaning machine - has mobile scoop passing over grille with trap to hold rubbish for later deposition by gravity

The machine comprises a trolley running on rails over the top of the water intake grille. This trolley has a mobile scoop (P) held clear of the grille during transit. When required, a cable (11) lowers the scoop over the grille, guided by its wheels (7, 8, 9) over the bars (2a) to dislodge rubbish. The rubbish passes into the scoop and an open trap (15) closes to retain the rubbish. When the scoop is full, the machine is withdrawn to one end of the track, the scoop opening to deposit the rubbish on the ground by gravity.
