The incremental output integrator comprises an analog amplifier/integrator/summer (1) which algebraically sums two currents (I1,I2) at the input to the integrator, the one current (I1) representing a quantity to be measured and the other current (I2) being derived form the discharge of a capacitor (C2). The capacitor (C2) is charged by a voltage source (5) connected across it by a two pole switch (6). The capacitor (C2) is connected to the input (A) of the basic integrator (1) through a four pole switch (2). The four pole switch is controlled by a circuit comprising two voltage level detectors driven from the output of the amplifier (1), and switching the four pole switch depending on whether the output is high or low. The two pole switch over the capacitor is opened when output reaches either threshold level, and the capacitor discharged to restore the integrator output to the region between upper and lower bounds. The effect is to give an output pulse train related to the value of the integral.
