Folding easel serving as a paper support for drawing and painting, mainly for teaching purposes. Two panels, 1, 2 are articulated at their top by a hinge 3 and are provided with lateral walls 21, 22 turning them into an opening box containing pockets 23 for supporting rolls of paper, while transverse slits 6, 7, 8 are provided in the upper lateral wall in order to enable a strip of paper to be unrolled in front of the outer face 11 of each panel beyond a cutting means 20 up to a strip of magnetised material 12 for fastening by means of studs, above a small hinged shelf 13.
