Combined paint box and four-legged easel - has adjustable folding canvas-support fixing outside and inside lid respectively for water and oil painting

The combination four-legged (3, 5) paint box (1) and easel can be used for oil or water-colour painting and inc. a collapsible canvas-holder (6) with sliding adjustable stops (7, 8). The four legs (3, 5) are telescopically adjustable for length, and the canvas holder (6) is mounted on the exterior or interior of the box lid (9) for water-colour or oil painting resp. The external mounting of the canvas-holder has two spring-clips and two bolt type connectors. Both of the spring clips (12, 13) are mounted on the canvas holder (6) and engage a central lid hole and a lid end anchorage resp. The screw connectors have bolts (16) built into the canvas-holder and passing through holes in the lid (9) to be secured by knurled nuts (18). The canvas-holder (6) may have a mid-point hinge (11) permitting its folding for storage in the box (1). Further interior spring clips (25a & b) may be used to secure the canvas-holder (6) on the inner lid face for oil painting.
