METHOD OF IMPROVING RIVER THROUGH LOWERING OF RIVER-BED

PURPOSE:To cause lowering of a river-bed, by a method wherein a press-in pipe is pressed-in in a direction extending from a portion below a embankment toward the river side, a pipe having holes is coupled to the press-in pipe, and sediment is discharged therethrough. CONSTITUTION:A press-in pipe 2 is pressed-in in a direction extending from a portion below an embankment 1 toward the river side, and a pipe 3 having holes is coupled to the press-in pipe 2. Sediment is discharged through the porous pipe 3 and the press-in pipe 2 to a drain passage 4 in the embankment.
