PURPOSE:To produce a product directly eatable without applying soy sauce, etc. as processed food suitable for side dish and relish taken with SAKE having improved flavor, by bonding a particulate or granular dried salted fish gut to the surface of laver. CONSTITUTION:An adhesive (C) having high bonding effect, e.g. emulsion for food, is applied to the surface of sheetlike dried laver (A). For example, the adhesive (C) is filled in a bank between rolls (R1) and (R2) in contact with each other, and the laver (A) is passed through a gap between the roll (R1) and a roll (R3) to be in contact thereafter and coated with the adhesive (C). A particulate or granular dried salted fish gut (B) is uniformly applied onto the adhesive (C). For example, the salted fish gut (B) is put into a troughlike member (T) having many perforated small holes on the undersurface, uniformly dropped from the small holes and applied to the laver (A) while passing the laver (A) under the troughlike member (T). The resultant laver (A) is then passed through rolls (R4) and (R5), pressed and then dried in a dryer. Thus, the aimed processed food, directly eatable without applying soy sauce, etc. thereto, and containing the laver (A) suited to the dried salted fish gut without deteriorating the flavor of the laver (A) is obtained.
