STARTING METHOD OF PUMPING-UP OPERATION OF GENERATOR MOTOR IN PUMPING-UP POWER PLANT

PURPOSE:To synchronously start even if a pumping water wheel of a pumping generator unit used as a generator is impossible to operate by rotatably driving a direct-coupled motor in pumping direction and generating direction. CONSTITUTION:A generator motor 1a is operated as a generator by rotating the motor 1a of a system (a) by a pump water wheel, and the generated power is applied to a generator motor 1a of a system (b) to synchronously start it. The motor 1a used as a generator then rotatably drive a direct-coupled motor 2a in pumping direction to start pumping. If the pump water wheel of the system (a) becomes defective, the motor 2 is rotated in the generating direction, and the pumping generator unit of the system (b) side is pumped by the generated output of the system (a) side. Thus, even if the pump water wheel of the pumping generator unit used as a generator becomes defective, synchronous starting can be performed.
