GAS TURBINE POWER PLANT USING GASEOUS FUEL OF LOWER CALORIFIC VALUE

PURPOSE:To minimize the period of an extreme fall of output and efficiency of a gas turbine power plant using a gaseous fuel of a lower calorific value which occurs when the gas of a lower calorific value is insufficient by providing in the system for the gas of a lower calorific value an inert gas substitution device, a gas discharging device, a gas analyzer and a switching device to the system for air. CONSTITUTION:In the fuel system, two inert gas supplying systems are provided comprising inert gas shut-off valves 20 and 22 and check valves 21 and 21 respectively. A gas discharging device comprising a gas analyzer 25, a pressure regulating valve 26 and a blow-off valve 27 is provided on the delivery side of a compressor 5. Moreover, a suction device comprising an air filter 8 and the like is provided in the gaseous fuel system, and a gas shut-off device comprising a fuel shut-off valve 30 and the like is provided at the suction port. When the shortage of the gaseous fuel (b) continues, the inert gas (e) is sent through the shut-off valve 20 into the fuel (b), with a by-pass valve 14 open and the shaut-off valve 30 and a pressure equalizing valve 31 totally open. At the same time, with the blow-off valve 27 open, the same amount of the fuel (b) as the inert gas (e) is released.
