FIELD COIL ASSEMBLING METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR STATOR OF ROTARY ELECTRIC MACHINE

PURPOSE:To efficiently associate a field coil in a stator core without using a wedge by composing by the steps of shaping the coil and assembling the shaped coil with a stator core slot. CONSTITUTION:A base plate A performs a function as a placing base of a coil to be shaped, to be rotatable around the base plate supporting shaft, and the movement is stopped by a base plate fixing mechanism B. The coil to be shaped is clamped by a clamping mechanism C for clamping the coil on the surface of the plate A. A coil shaping clamping mechanism D partly grasps the coil to shape the coil and elongates. The clamp for shaping the coil is moved in the direction separating from the coil clamping clamp by a moving mechanism E, and as the coil is elongated, the position of the coil clamp is displaced by a clamp displacing mechanism F in response to the movement of reducing the diameter of the coil.
