The computer comprises an alphanumeric keyboard permitting the entering of data to a first microprocessor which contains the controlling program. This processor has a communication port for connection to other information processing devices. All the data and results of the computations are written to a liquid crystal display screen where they are printed in both numeric form and in musical notation. The processor controls a second microprocessor which functions as a signal generator driven from an adjustable oscillator. - The microprocessor generates the frequencies for all the notes and semi-tones over several octaves. A 'Midi' connector is provided to allow interfacing with other electronic instruments. The second microprocessor also controls an audio system which produces the desired musical effects over the generated frequencies. (7pp Dwg.No.0/0)
