Doser which mixes and emulsifies two immiscible liquids - esp. fuel oil and water fed into the burners of heating plant or into ic engines

Doser maintains a constant ratio between the two fuels even when the rate of flow is altered; and has one inlet for the liq. to be dispersed, which is pressurised water. The doser has a second inlet for fuel supplied at a lower pressure than the water. The two liqs. flow up a mixing chamber contg. a valve fitted with a spring and used to adjust the inlet flow of both liqs. The mixt. of the two liqs. then flows into an emulsifier contg. an axial tube with a conical inlet, the tube leading to a tranquilisation chamber with a transverse outlet for the emulsion. At least one of the liqs. pref. contains solids in suspension; and the doser is pref. used to feed an emulsion of oil and water to a heating plant or IC engine. Doser uses no energy and requires virtually no maintenance.
