Compounds with cardiovascular action of the formula I IMAGE in which Ar denotes a (monocyclic or, if desired, partially hydrogenated bicyclic) carbocyclic or heterocyclic, substituted or unsubstituted aromatic radical, R represents hydrogen, alkanoyl or aroyl, R1 and R2, independently of one another, denote hydrogen or lower alkyl or R1 and R2 together denote alkylene having 2 to 7 carbon atoms which separate the two nitrogen atoms by 2 to 4 carbon atoms, R3 and R4, independently of one another, represent hydrogen or lower alkyl, and X denotes oxo (O) or thio (S), their salts, in particular therapeutically useful salts, and processes for their preparation, pharmaceutical preparations containing these compounds and their therapeutic use. They can be prepared, for example, by reduction of a compound corresponding to the formula I, in which instead of the 1,4-cyclohexylene radical a 1,4-phenylene radical is present.
