Abstract:A replaceable de-soldering tip for a de-solderingtool comprises a body of carbon-based material having anattachment portion for joining with the tool, an inter-mediate portion adjoining the attachment portion and asolder-wetting portion adjoining the intermediate portion.A central elongated vacuum passage is formed along thelength of the body for allowing the removal of meltedsolder, the wall of this passage being uncoated, barecarbon-based material.
