A plasticizer consisting of esters of trimellitic acid with linear C₆-C₁₂ alcohols is used for the preparation of plastic compositions, particularly polyvinyl chloride, for the manufacturing of articles for biomedical use showing a reduced release to the blood, an increase of elasticity and a better flexibility at low temperature.
