1. Apparatus for the detection of the sudden generation of a signal of acoustic origin, said signal being provided by acoustic sensors (12, 14, 16, Fig. 1) located on a device (10) and delivering an electric signal, said apparatus comprising a circuit (18, 20, 22, Fig. 1) for measuring the effective value of the signal delivered by the sensors, and an electronic circuit (24, 26, Fig. 1) for analysis of said effective value, characterized in that the analysis circuit comprises a smoothing circuit (24, Fig. 1) for the effective value, a generator (30, Fig. 2) of a saw tooth signal, an adder (32, Fig. 2) receiving the smoorthed signal and the saw tooth signal, and delivering a notched signal formed as the sum of said two signals, a circuit (34, Fig. 2) receiving the smoothed signal and adapted to determine a signal in the form of linear segments improving the smoothed signal, a test circuit (36, Fig. 2) connected to the adder (32) delivering the notched signal and a circuit (34) delivering the linear segments, said circuit (36) being adapted to analyse the dispositif of the notched signal with respect to the signal in the form of linear segments with the aid of a sequence test, and finally a comparator (38, Fig. 2) connected to the test circuit (36) and adapted to compare the result of said analysis with a predetermined threshold.
