PROCESS FOR UTILIZING THE REACTION HEAT DURING THE AMMONIA SYNTHESIS

In the synthesis of ammonia, the reaction heat released can be used in a circuit in which the working fluid is ammonia. In an ammonia production unit with a capacity of 1,000 tonnes per day, can in this way obtain a mechanical power of 8.5 MW. The energy obtained can be advantageously used for actuating the cooling compressors. a global economy can be achieved 20% fuel compared to existing facilities. The process improves the security of the unit and simplifies operation.
