Use of viscous pasty adhesives in the form of ready-to-use adhesive containers

A description is given of the use of emulsion polymers which are adjusted to a viscous pasty consistency, can be spread in a soft manner without the application of pressure but are non-flowing in plastics containers designed in the manner of a handle and having a head piece which contains a dispensing opening, a pressure-controlled metering device and a distribution element for the squeezed-out portion of the emulsion polymer. The emulsion polymers are homopolymers and/or copolymers which are stabilised with protective colloids, have an adhesive character and are dispersed in an aqueous phase.
