A connecting piece, e.g. for indwelling catheters applied in blood vessels, especially infusion catheters, or for other tubing systems connected to the patient. The connecting piece has a first part provided with a nipple for connection to a catheter or tubing leading thereto and in which there is provided a membrane of elastic material radially pre-stressed inwards. A second membrane of elastic material which is likewise pre-stressed radially inwards and, at a distance from this, a third inwardly pre-stressed membrane of elastic material are provided in a second connecting piece part inside or near the first membrane. A piece of tubing of elastic material which passes through the first and the second membrane in the normal operative position and is provided with a small bead resting against the first membrane from the side of the first connecting piece part is fixed on the second connecting piece part, the bead being pullable through the first membrane and out of the latter on exposure to a first, predetermined tensile force under elastic deformation.
