摘要
In their conventional form, literary works in the form of books have the characteristic that individual chapters and subject areas cannot be removed and reinserted, so that it is always necessary to handle the complete book. This is also a disadvantage for the book itself. Such removability is possible in the case of document binders, but is then linked to an office environment, with the disadvantage of the additional space requirement for the ring mechanism. The invention of the plug-in book spine avoids all these disadvantages and combines the advantages of the two forms, stapled subject sections or file sequences, as part-works, being plugged in to the clamp-type mounting of plastic grooves in the plug-in book spine and being removed therefrom in the same way. The visible strip of the plug-in book spine is, in the conventional and modern style of book design, to take the form of stickers. By means of additional gripping tabs which can be pushed into the end of the plug-in book spine, the archiving of plug-in books is facilitated as compared with the handling of conventional books in shelves, etc. A conversion to a plug-in book system would give office and administrative files, visually and conceptually, the character of a literary library as an alternative form of expedient modernisation.
