New paths can be trod using the special modular system and the corresponding method when models are used for design, development and planning. These new possibilities do not just facilitate the manufacture of models, but are also kept sufficiently flexible to be able to be used to assist development and planning of buildings and installations. Extended and technically converted principles of observation make the structures "easier to grasp", so that conditions more conducive to the participation of a larger number of people in the joint solving of structural and technical problems are created. In the modular system, special working and drawing implements are displaceably arranged on a guide rail. Model-working tables are situated in front of them. Models can be quickly and easily manufactured using special appliances and tools and can at any time be adapted to the particular stage of development.
