Plug-in module as pluggable program carrier for microcomputers, and method of producing the plug-in module

The invention concerns a plug-in module (100) as a pluggable program carrier for microcomputers. The distinguishing feature is that a carrier board (20), which carries one or more EPROMs (30), in which any application program is stored, and which has an edge connector (25), is arranged in a hollow body (50) and is enclosed by a filler material (60) which completely fills the inner space (55) of the hollow body (50) which contains the carrier board (20), so that the edge connector (25) is freely accessible outside the inner space (55) of the hollow body (50), and all other parts of the carrier board (20) are hermetically sealed from the surrounding hollow body.
