The invention relates to a port gantry crane having a jib which is raisable by means of a deformable quadrilateral system. The jib 3, articulated on a spindle 2, rests on a frame 12. This frame is articulated on a tension device 7 and a thrust jack 9 articulated to a connecting rod 5, the latter itself being articulated on the support 1 by means of a spindle 4 parallel to the spindle 2.
