The invention relates to a method for packaging a portion of meat product which is ready-to-eat and packaged individually. It also relates to a cured pork article obtained by means of this method. The portion, for example a slice 1 of salami or of sausage, is stuck onto the point 3 of a support element 2, 10 which may be a simple short stick 2. It is equipped with a protective and decorative packaging 4. By virtue of its support element 2, 10, such an article may be fastened onto a display unit for sale, and then transported by the consumer and consumed without the consumer getting dirty.
