The invention relates to a method for packaging a portion of meat product which is ready-to-eat and packaged individually. It also relates to a cured pork article obtained by means of this method. The portion, for example a slice 1 of salami or of sausage, is stuck onto the point 3 of a support element 2, 10 which may be a simple short stick 2. It is equipped with a protective and decorative packaging 4. By virtue of its support element 2, 10, such an article may be fastened onto a display unit for sale, and then transported by the consumer and consumed without the consumer getting dirty. The invention applies to the packaging of all types of meat products to be sold in the form of a portion. IMAGE
