GAS COCK ASSOCIATED WITH OMNI-DIRECTIONAL OVERFLOW PREVENTING MECHANISM

PURPOSE:To achieve a reliable function irrespective of the installing direction by supporting a fused valve where the distance to a valve seat will vary in dependence upon the installing direction in a cylinder through a spring. CONSTITUTION:An overflow prevention valve 6 comprises a fixed cylinder 7, a movable cylinder 8 assembled slidably in the fixed cylinder 7 and a fused valve 10 abutable tightly against a valve seat 9 in the movable cylinder 8 from the upstream side. The fused valve 10 is supported by a spring 13 and constructed such that the distance between said valve 10 and the valve seat 9 will vary in dependence upon the buoyancy functioning onto the fused valve 10. With such arrangement, the variation of the operating point due to the self-weight of the fused valve 10 can be prevented irrespective of the installing direction of valve resulting in a reliable function at all times.
