DNA PROBE FOR EXAMINING INDIVIDUAL GENETIC IDENTITY

PURPOSE:A DNA probe which is DNA consisting of 849 base pairs and capable of examining individual genetic identity. CONSTITUTION:Distribution type of hybrid formation of human DNA scissored with various restricted enzymes is investigated by Southern bolt technique. When fragment separated from a decomposition product obtained by digesting DNA of Hela cell among the scissored DNA with restricted enzyme AluI is cloned (termed pHeS3-45c) and used as a probe, patterns characteristic of repeating DNA sequence of restricted enzyme scissored fragment, having polymorphism, are observed in DNA from various materials. The probe consist of 849 pairs of base shown by the formula.
