PURPOSE:To permit easy analysis and to elucidate the interpretation of the resulted information by irradiating the specific radiation gamma ray obtd. by changing the intensity of the magnetic field to be impressed to a Mossbauer ray source having a paramagnetic characteristic to a sample. CONSTITUTION:PdFe is used as the gamma ray source 1 of a paramagnetic material. Such ray source 1 is cooled to a liquid He temp. and about 9kOe is applied thereto be a superconductive electromagnet 2. The energy of the right-hand circular polarized Mossbauer ray 1 out of the Mossbauer rays 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d of a Zeeman-split segment 1a is thereby resonated and absorbed to one 3b of the Mossbauer rays of a metallic iron 3 for filter. The gamma rays past the sample 4 which is subjected to Doppler motion by an exciter 5 in the stage of having the magnetization direction inclined by about 60 deg. with the gamma rays are photon-counted by a gamma ray detector 6 and are further rearranged as the Mossbauer spectra via a multichannel analyzer.
