PURPOSE:To make the selection and switching of an optional picture of plural terminals of the titled system easy by attaching a character signal corresponding to a terminal and a character signal corresponding to the location of the speaker to respective picture signal and respective reduction synthesis picture signal from the plural terminals. CONSTITUTION:The video signals inputted to video signal input terminals 1a-1e are stored in video memories 3a-3e. The said signals are inputted to picture reduction circuits 4a-4e, and every other picture element in vertical and horizontal directions are thinned to obtain a 1/4-reduced picture. The signals are synthesized in a synthesizing circuit 5, and the characters corresponding to respective terminals are superposed in the right lower part of the reduced picture by a superimposing circuit 6. The voice signals inputted from voice signal input terminals 10a-10e are compared with each other by a level comparator circuit 11, and a location of maximum voice volume is detected to decide the location where the speaker is present. The circuit 6 changes the color of the character corresponding to the said location, or displays a flashing display for identification.
