PURPOSE:To automate exchange of an used grindstone with a fresh one thereby to simplify an exchange job and to enable labor saving by providing a grindstone mounting/dismounting mechanism having a flange clamper and a nut runner, and a transfer mechanism that controls the transfer of the mounting/dismounting mechanism. CONSTITUTION:With the operation of an oil hydraulic cylinder 34, a grindstone mounting/dismounting mechanism K at the top end of a slantly moving arm 33 is transferred to the first exchange position facing an used grindstone 17. Then with the operations of the 9th cylinder 40 and the 8th cylinder 36, a clamper 35 and a nut runner 39 advance to clamp the outside flange 18, unfasten a nut 19, remove the grindstone 17, and then retreat. And then with the operation of the 7th cylinder 34, the grindstone mounting/dismounting mechanism K is transferred to the second exchange position of an exchange stand 28 through the slant movement of the arm 33, and the used grindstone 17 is inserted onto an upper insertion axis 29a, and when a fresh grindstone 17' goes up to the facing position with the operation of the 6th cylinder 30, the 9th cylinder 40 operates again, the clamper 35 holds the fresh grindstone 17' and retreats. And the fresh grindstone 17' is mounted onto the grindstone axis 16, while each of the operations is carried out in order reverse to the previous one.
