PURPOSE: To make the shaping of a highly accurate grinding wheel free from the backlash and lost motion of a feed screw, performable as well as to facilitate the shaping of such a complex form as so-far difficult by means of a copying system used with the conventional template. ;CONSTITUTION: In an X-Y simultaneous 2-axis controlling stone shaper, a diamond tool holder setting mount 7 is shifted in an X direction by an X-axis servomotor 8. A tilting plate 15 is shifted by a Y-axis servomotor 19 installed in this diamond tool holder setting mount 7, and a stylus part 24 of a diamond tool holder 13 is made contact with a gentle incline formed in this tilting plate.
