The propellant may contain finely divided aluminium or magnesium, and a burning rate additive or catalyst, e.g. iron oxide, copper chromite or organometallic compound. Examples describe compositions of ammonium perchlorate, aluminium, ferric oxide and binders comprising hydroxy-terminated polybutadiene, diisocyanate, phenyl-#-naphthylamine, isodecyl pelargonate, reaction product of tris(methyl aziridinyl) phosphine oxide, d-tartaric acid and adipic acid, and reaction product of N-methyldiethanolamine and sebacic acid.
