An orifice (105) is connected to a source of high pressure with a second orifice (107) connected to a working chamber and a third orifice (106) connected to a relief valve. A pressure sensitive device (110) connects the chamber to the valve, and a high pressure membrane (115,118) puts the second orifice in communication with the source of pressure and prevents communication between it and the relief orifice. The third orifice is normally closed by a valve (110) which is sensitive to the pressure established in an internal chamber (109) which may be connected to the low pressure source used for pilot operation. Each of the four tyres on the car has an associated sensor providing signals to a preset controller which includes a calculator, bus and a solenoid valve interface.
