The zinc salt of hydrocortisone hemi-succinate of formula (I), in which n is 0-4, is obtd. by reacting hydrocortisone hemi-succinate or its alkali metal or ammonium salts with zinc (hydr)oxide or salt, in a polar solvent, pref. water, methanol, ethanol or their mixts., at 0-45 deg.C followed by pptn. in the cold, and removal of solvent.
