ABSTRACTAn offshore platform structure comprising a deck superstructure which issupported by at least three spaced apart inclined lower supporting columnsextending convergingly upwards towards an intermediate structure and one ormore upper columns extending upward from the intermediate structure supportingthe deck superstructure. At least the lower supporting columns having varyingdiameter, the columns having their largest diameter in the area of the waterline during the towing out of the platform structure from the constructionsite to its offshore location. Slipforming means for slipforming inclined,hollow columns of reinforced concrete, comprise a slipform platform includingformwork which is supported by and may be lifted or lowered by means of aclimbing rod system which is secured to the already cast, cured portions ofthe column. The formwork is suspended from the slipform platform by means ofyokes and comprises inner and outer slipforms extending in the circumferentialdirection. The yokes are adjustable in the radial direction with respect tothe slipform platform while the slipforms are adjustable in the tangential orcircumferential direction with respect to each other. One of the slipformwalls is radially adjustable with respect to the other. The slipforming meansis especially suited to the slipforming of hollow, inclined columns havingincreasing and/or decreasing diameter.
