A plastic cap (10) on the end flange (35) of a holding piece (11), such as a rivet, a pricking nail, a serrated ring, a sow-on eyelet, or the like, for notions, such as snap-fastener parts, reinforcing rivets, trouser hooks, buttons, ornamental parts or the like, wherein the cap (10) is provided at its bottom surface with a central recess (20) having undercut inner side walls (31), in which the conical end flange (35) is fixed by flattening of its taper, characterized in that the cap (10) has at its bottom side (16) a honeycomb structure (17) of a universally substantially uniform wall thickness (19), in which the recess (20) is included as a central honeycomb enclosed by an annular wall (21), the annular wall (21) on its inner side wall (31) carries axial ribs (30) reducing the inside width (32) of the recess, into which the flattened end flange (35) bites with its circumferential edge (39), and the plastic of the annular wall (21) in its summit area (41) is squeezed over the rim surface of the end flange (35).
