A pressure cylinder system for producing or supporting external forces consists of the main parts: housing 1, piston 2 and piston rod 3. Pressure medium passes through inflow bores 1.3 and 1.4 into the interior of the housing 1, acts on the piston 2 on both sides with differential pressure and thereby produces an external force. In the case of less compressible pressure media or pressure media which cannot be compressed at all, the external force produced is a fixed quantity. But if vibration-like disturbance forces now occur on the outside, their force peaks can cause material wear or other undesirable effects. The pressure cylinder system according to the invention comprises dampers 4 which are arranged in the hydraulic inner area of the pressure cylinder system. By these dampers 4 with compression springs 5.1 and 5.2 as well as brake seals 2.3, the piston 2 with piston rod 3 is spring-mounted damper-like in any working position. External force peaks are thereby dampened to quantities which can be controlled and are no longer damaging. IMAGE
