Device for regulating the operating speed of corrugating machines with a system of two serrated rollers (2, 3) and a pressure roller (6) for producing a web corrugated on one side in which at least one bearing of the pressure roller (6) is equipped with an acceleration sensor (8) for the oscillations of the system of serrated (2, 3) and pressure (6) rollers in order to vary individual parameters, such as for example the roller speed, application pressure, gap size and/or eccentric movements of the pressure roller (6). The system of serrated rollers (2, 3) and pressure rollers (6) thus operates in an adjustment range in which the bursting strength losses of the cover (4) on the corrugated paper web (7) are all together minimized.
