In the case of a paint spray booth (1) with booth rear wall (6) sprayed with coagulated water from an overflow gulley (4) and a suction chamber (10), disposed behind said rear wall (6), with a base connection (18, 19) to the spray chamber (2) and also a suction fan (11) upstream of which are connected elements for washing out and separating the paint particles contained in the air/water mixture, it is provided to design the washing-out system as a so-called Venturi nozzle (20). An additional water seal (21) in the region of the base plate (19) of the Venturi nozzle (20) and a water-supplying nozzle pipe (22) within said seal (21) ensure increased water circulation and thus optimum washing out of the paint particles.
