DECISION METHOD FOR OPTIMUM PRODUCTION PLANNING

PURPOSE:To reduce the number of times retrieving the solution of a discrete value for solving a large-scaled discrete problem and to solve the problem on-line by temporarily outputting a solution as a continuous amount. CONSTITUTION:Assuming that a controlled system can take a continuous amount, an optimum value is obtained first. Next, among discrete values which are close to the optimum value and which some controlled system can take, the solution that meets requirements is selected to obtain the optimum value in a comparatively short time. Thus the optimum value of the controlled system in a large-scaled discrete production system can be obtained in a comparatively short time. Optimum throughouts P11, P12, P21 and P22, inventories q1 and q2 and cross flows xc1 and xc2 can be determined from known product requirement amounts x1 and x2 in the production system.
