PURPOSE:To stabilize a series of stages from the cooking of cocoons to reeling, by increasing or reducing the advance speed in a cocoon cooking machine according to the frequency of required cocoon distribution from many new cocoon supply tanks, and adjusting the temperature in an aging part of the cocoon cooking machine. CONSTITUTION:Cocoons cooked in a cocoon cooking machine 2 are fed to a hopper 42 of a cocoon distribution apparatus 4 and then distributed through a rotating chute 44 to new cocoon receiving tanks of a reeling machine 6 on the cocoon distribution request. In the above-mentioned system, the advance speed of the cocoon cooking machine 2 and the temperature of an aging part are set as standard values when the cocoon distribution is requested from about half of the respective new cocoon receiving tanks 5. If the cocoon distribution is requested from more cocoon receiving tanks 5, the advance speed is increased, and the temperature of the aging part is increased. If the cocoon distribution is requested from less cocoon receiving tanks 5, the advance speed is reduced, and the temperature of the aging part is reduced.
