PURPOSE:To increase the volume of income bank notes, by a method wherein a sensor, detecting a distance between two back plates to detect that a space is full state of income notes, is situated on the backup plate. CONSTITUTION:When an amount of income bank notes 6 is low, two backup plates 4 and 5 for income and outgoing notes are separated from each other, it is a state in that inflow and outflow of notes are both practicable. When an amount of inflow notes 6 is increased and the backup plate 4 for inflow notes and backup plate 5 for outflow notes approach each other, movement of a sensor 8 situated on the backup plate is interrupted by a plate 9, it is detected that a space is full of the income notes 6, and a device is brought into a state in that only outflow of the notes is practicable. Thereafter, when an amount of remaining outflow notes 7 is decreased and a distance between the two backup plates is increased, both inflow and outflow of the notes become practicable again.
