PURPOSE:To improve the high frequency magnetic property of a soft magnetic Fe-Si alloy member by specifying the thickness of a surface layer to be hardened or deformed and the ratio of the sectional area thereof. CONSTITUTION:A surface layer having 50-1000mum of thickness of a magnetically soft Fe-Si alloy member along the flow of a magnetic flux passing the center of the member of a surface layer of the member disposed in an alternating magnetic field and a magnetic field of predetermined direction flows is so hardened or deformed that the ratio of the sectional area occupying the surface layer in the thicknesswise section of the surface layer is 2-40% of the area of the entire section. Thus, since the high frequency magnetic property of the member is remarkably improved. The surface layer except the specific surface layer region and the interior of the member are not hardened nor deformed together with the above property, the alloy itself can hold the excellent original magnetic property as it is.
