PURPOSE:To make it possible to adjust the positions of drills to the machining positions of bar materials and enhance the general-purpose properties of a drilling machine by providing a drill unit for remaining a plurality of drill head position to be adjustable. CONSTITUTION:A fixing bolt 9 and tap bolt 17 in a drill unit 2 are loosened to adjust the position of an attachment 11 in relation to a support 8 for setting a drill 4 to a bar material machining position. In the next step, the tap bolt is tightened, and after harmonizing respective datum surfaces of the attachment 11 and support 8 the fixing bolt 9 is tightened to fix the attachment 11 to the support 8. And a bar material is supported on the V shaped groove 12b of a supporting base 6 being pressed by hand, and each of switches of a drill rotation driving device 3 and drill unit shattle driving device 4 is turned on to advance the drill unit 2 for drilling the bar material on the supporting base 6 with respective drills 4 and chanfer the drilled holes.
