HIGH-SENSITIVITY WATER WASHABLE FLUORESCENT LIQUID PENETRANT FOR HIGH TEMPERATURE

PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of the water washability of a fluorescent liquid penetrant even if said penetrant contacts a high-temp. material to be inspected by adding 0.5-2wt.% dialkylsulfosuccinate to the fluorescent liquid penetrant consisting of 1-7wt.% oil soluble fluorescent dye and 30-60wt.% solvent thereof. CONSTITUTION:0.5-2wt.% dialkylsulfosuccinate is added to the fluorescent liquid penetrant consisting of 1-7wt.% oil soluble fluorescent dye, 30-60wt.% solvent thereof, 10-40wt.% polyethylene glycol base nonionic surfactant, and 10-30wt.% plasticizer or vegetable oil. Then, this liquid maintains the good water washability at the time of washing and does not cause overwashing even if the liquid is stuck to the high-temp. material to be inspected of about =50 deg.C, more particularly 80-100 deg.C in the case of using the above-mentioned liquid. The efficiency is, therefore, high and the reduction of stages and costs is attained.
