PURPOSE:To enable sheets of various sizes to be ceritainly transported with a simple structure, by selecting out of the plural number of individually operatable, feeding measures, the one applicable for each size of the sheet. CONSTITUTION:A cassette 1 is provided, on its side, with a cam 4 corresponding to the sheet size. When the cassette 1 is inserted in a feeder, a lever 5 is rotated in the direction of an arrow B. Then a gear 6 installed on the lever 5 causes a shaft 8, on which another gear 7 is fixed, to rotate in the direction of an arrow C. The shaft 8 is further provided with cams 9, 10 of shifted phases fixed to it. Paper feeding rollers 11, 12 are independently installed on a shaft 13 swingably through supporting bodies 14, 15. Upper surfaces of the supporting bodies 14, 15 are in contact with the cams 9, 10 by springs 20, 21.
