PURPOSE:To obtain linear ground animal or fish meat without causing denaturation, by extruding a raw substance for ground meat such as animal meat, fish meat, etc., from a feed hopper through a screw extruder from a die with a built-in heater. CONSTITUTION:A raw substance for ground meat, such as animal meat, fish meat, etc., is fed from a feed hopper to a cylinder, ground and blended by a screw in the cylinder. A die which has a built-in heater at a given position approximately uniformly heats the surface part and the central part of the raw material for ground meat passing through the hole of die is attached to the outlet of an extruder and linear ground meat having any of various cross-sectional shape is extruded. The ground meat is bonded under pressure to give a feed having a fibrous feeling close to muscular meat of crab.
