PURPOSE:To notably suppress a corrosive behavior to metal of aq. soln. of lithium bromide and to improve its stability for storage by adding benzotriazol, tolyltriazol and lithium hydroxide together with to the aq. soln. of lithium bromide used for an absorption refrigerating machine. CONSTITUTION:The aq. soln. of lithium bromide with anticorrosive property is formed by adding benzotriozol, tolyltriozol and lithium hydroxide to the aq. soln. of lithium bromide contg. 50-60wt% lithium bromide. The ratio of each component added to the aq. soln. of lithium bromide is preferable that (1) the content of the mixture of benzotriazol and tolyltriazol added to the aq. soln. of lithium bromide is 0.07-0.15wt%, (2) the blending ratio of bezotriazol to tolyltriazol in the mixture is in the range of 70:30-95:5, (3) the content of the lithium hydroxide to the aq. soln. of lithium bromide is 0.007-0.07wt%.
