- 21 -"SNOW TRAP ATTACHMENT FOR CROP HARVESTING MACHINE"ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREAn attachment for forming standing straw snowtraps comprises sickle blade, a curved guide and a sup-port frame for mounting the attachment on the harvestingmachine so that the sickle blade extends forwardly of,above and generally parallel to the machine's sickleblade over a short length thereof which is covered toprevent cutting of the crop. The attachment is connectedto the reel arms of the machine for common height adjust-mint therewith. The curved guide directs the cut headsof the crop onto the collection draper of the machine.The attachment can be pivotal mounted or mounted on scis-sors linkage from the cover.
