A method for detecting hepatitis B (HB) virus comprises (a) dissolving up to 2 (kinds) of antigen (or antibody) of HB i.e. HBsAg, anti-HBsAg, anti-HBc, anti-HBcIgM, HBeAg and anti-HBe in buffer soln. of pH 6-9; (b) fixing them onto a protein-adsorptive membrane (or sheet, i.e. polystyrene, nitrocellulose or active nylon) to form sepd. spots; (c) reacting with test samples in the mixt. soln. e.g. of enzyme and monoclone antibody for 30-60 min at 37-40 deg.C; and (d) washing with water and soaking into 4-chloro -1-naphthol to develop black or blue spot.
